Early Intervention for Children with Incarcerated Parents (EICIP) serves families and children in Madison and St. Clair Counties in Illinois, helping children ages 4 through 17 who have at least one parent who is incarcerated or who has been released from jail or prison in the last six months. When possible, services are offered in a child’s home or school. When feasible, the child’s incarcerated parent is involved in services. The goals of EICIP are environmental, financial, emotional, and relational stability.

  • Consultation and evaluation by a psychiatrist (when needed)
  • Crisis services
  • Education classes for parents
  • Family counseling
  • Group therapy
  • Individual counseling
