Any unexpected, dramatic event at work can leave a profound aftershock for affected employees. CGP’s local national employee/family assistance program includes critical incident intervention for traumatic events such as accidents, natural disasters, and hostage taking. In the wake of a critical incident, CGP moves quickly to activate our team and schedule an intervention before international employees experience the negative impact of un-addressed trauma.

Our critical incident response includes:

  • Prompt telephonic consultation for management of critical incidents, followed by on-site educational and support services if requested
  • Assessment and action plan for critical incidents
  • On-site service
  • Defusing (small group discussions of a crisis or traumatic event designed to reduce psychological trauma or discord)
  • Debriefing (CISD)
  • Follow-up with work site and affected employees to assure recovery
