Several of you either are or are working closely with state agencies to implement screening, standardized assessment or evidence based protocols.  Below is a new RFA from NIDA that can be used to help bridge the gap between science and practice that is targeted at state led initiatives.  If you have any questions on this, please direct them OFF LINE to Beverly Pringle <bpringle@nida.nih.gov>.

I also wanted to remind you that at www.chestnut.org/li/apss are copies of 18 evidenced based adolescent treatment manuals/protocols that can be downloaded for free and contact information f their developers. On the SASATE part of that web page are other materials that might help, including a very detailed bibliography on adolescent substance abuse treatment. If you are interested in any of these protocols, please contact their developers directly (their contact information is on the website).
