Participants in phase two succeed by demonstrating a willingness to assume responsibility for an individualized recovery plan, and to be engaged in employment or a school program. Phase three participants typically assume a peer leadership role in treatment, and make significant progress in developing and using effective relapse prevention strategies. Services for phase two and three are located at each of three Madison County Probation Department satellite offices in the communities of East Alton, Edwardsville, and Madison.
