CHS Home > Services > Services for the Mentally ILL > Southern Illinois > PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION The Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) program provides services to consumers who have chronic mental illness. The goal of the program is to provide a safe and supportive environment to assist consumers to achieve stability, to grow with dignity and self-worth, and to cope with community life and reduce hospitalization. Empowering consumers to make independent decisions is a major emphasis of the program.
Edison Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is consumer-run and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for any registered consumer of Chestnut Health Systems. Skills classes, self-help groups, and recreational activities are offered throughout the day. Lunch is prepared on site by consumers and served daily for a nominal charge.
