TIME OUT! FOR ME

The value of specialized interventions for chemically dependent women has been well documented. The Time Out For Me! manual offers treatment professionals an up-to-date curriculum for leading women's groups that address issues such as sexuality, self-esteem, assertiveness, and reproductive health concerns. This 6-session workshop incorporates information sharing, discussion, exercises, and role play activities in a structured format. The manual also features a reference section on human sexuality, a resource directory, and handout materials for participants. Studies by the authors suggest that participation in Time Out For Me! workshops increases knowledge, self-esteem, and treatment tenure.
