Special Issue of Journal of Psychoactive Drugs on "Exploring policy challenges and options: Improving treatment for adolescents with substance use disorders."

DESCRIPTION OF SPECIAL ISSUE

This volume illustrates the unique needs of adolescents with substance use disorders. The articles identify key public policy issues, highlight promising initiatives underway in this area and point out the significant work needed to develop and support an effective nationwide treatment system for youth. This knowledge will both inform ongoing efforts addressing treatment improvement as well as serve as a catalyst to move the field forward in this important area.
