SASATE - Society for Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Effectiveness Provided by Chestnut Health Systems under SAMHSA contract 270-2003-00006 Business Meeting Chair: Michael Dennis Target Audience: Blended Audiences Abstract: The past 5 years have seen a renaissance of research on the effectiveness of adolescent substance abuse treatment. The Society of Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Effectiveness (SASATE) was founded in 2002 and has met at College of Problems on Drug Dependence (CPDD) and the Joint Meeting on Adolescent Treatment Effectiveness (JMATE) since then, encouraging an increase in posters, presentations, and workshops on adolescent treatment outcomes at CPDD and to get Federal, local, and private funders to co-sponsor a JMATE. It has been a very informal organization that largely seeks to share information and foster collaboration through its Web site (www.chestnut.org/li/apss/sasate), and e-mail list server, and meetings. JMATE has become the largest meeting of researchers, evaluators, clinicians, program directors and policy makers interested in making practice more evidence-based and effective. The SASATE business meeting is open to the public and will address the following business issues:
