CHS Home > Services > Counseling & Family Services > Central Illinois > DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TREATMENT Chestnut Health Systems provides counseling services for individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence. In addition to individual, family and marital therapy we offer treatment for perpetrators of domestic violence through our Invitation to Responsibility (ITR) program. We also offer treatment to women who are or have been in abusive relationships through our SECURE program. SECURE, which stands for Safe Equal Caring Understanding RElationships, is a therapy program for women who have been or are currently in relationships that are threatening, controlling or physically abusive. This program assists women in making choices to have safe, respectful and violence-free relationships for themselves and their children. The two-part program includes discussion groups and educational classes. The ITR program is for men who have committed acts of domestic violence or abuse or women who have been the victim of and/or committed acts of domestic violence and abuse. It is a two-step program that assists perpetrators/victims in developing and maintaining relationships that are respectful and violence-free.
