Chestnut Credit Counseling Services, a program of Chestnut Health Systems, offers credit counseling for bankruptcy by telephone, in person, or by Internet. This counseling is required prior to the filing of a bankruptcy and is offered to those filing bankruptcy in the Northern, Central, or Southern District of Illinois.

We also offer Pre-Discharge Debtor Education bankruptcy counseling required for the discharge of a bankruptcy. The cost for this counseling is $60.00 per person or per couple. The certificate that is required by the bankruptcy court will be issued upon completion of this counseling. This counseling is offered in person at our offices in Bloomington, IL, Joliet, IL, Granite City, IL, or via Internet.
