For more information, contact: CHESTNUT HEALTH SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES NEW CHINESE JOINT VENTURE Chestnut Health Systems, Inc., Bloomington, announced today that it has entered into a joint venture to create the first-ever China-based company that will offer employee assistance services to Chinese nationals. Chestnut Health Systems, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Chestnut Global Partners, L.L.C., is a minority owner of the new company, Psychcn-Chestnut Global Partners, Inc. Chestnut’s partners are Psychcn Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Xinyueyinhe Culture Development Co., Ltd., both based in Beijing, China. Chestnut Health Systems has been providing employee assistance services for more than 15 years to a variety of large and small American companies. Chestnut Global Partners has brought employee assistance services to a number of multi-national companies, primarily serving American nationals working abroad. The newly formed Chinese venture will provide employee assistance programs (EAP) and services to Chinese employees of multi-national companies. It will also offer EAP services to emerging privately-owned Chinese companies and to government-owned businesses. Since September 4th, a contingent of owners, top managers, and core staff of the new joint venture has been in Bloomington for intensive orientation and training in delivering EAP services, which are virtually unknown in China. Key Staff Biographies Jie Zhang is the General Manager for Psychcn-Chestnut Global Partners, Inc. She has extensive experience in business administration and was formerly the Producer of a large media communications company in China. Ms. Zhang has received the equivalent of an U.S. Emmy in China for her work in media productions. Mr. Xiaoming Su is a successful private business owner in China since 1991. He is a major investor in Psychcn-Chestnut Global Partners, Inc. Mr. Su’s initial business focus was in manufacturing. He started Psychcn in 2000 to give back to the Chinese people. Russ Hagen is the Chief Executive Officer of Chestnut Health Systems, which provides substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment, research and training in the human services, along with employee assistance programming services. Mr. Hagen has been associated with chestnut for more than 30 years and has taken a key role in developing Chestnut’s growing overseas presence. Dr. Daolong Zhang is the Medical Director for Psychcn-Chestnut Global Partners, Inc., is a licensed physician in both the U.S. and China, and a board-certified psychiatrist in the U.S. Dr. Zhang received his medical degree from Harbin University in Neurology and his residency training in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago School of Medicine. He is also an adjunct professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and the Beijing University Mental Health Institute. Dr. Zhang has been instrumental at introducing and improving behavioral health services in China and is a frequent consultant to U.S. companies doing business in China, as well as a regular presenter at professional conferences. Matt Mollenhauer is the Director of Operations for Chestnut Global Partners, LLC, and a licensed clinical professional counselor in the U.S. He received his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University and is the Past President of Illinois Chapter EAPA. Matt has extensive experience in the design and delivery of all aspects of EAP services. Along with Dr. Zhang, he has provided EAP training to over 100 Psychcn counselors in Beijing on two occasions and is very involved in the roll out of the new Psychcn-Chestnut Global Partners, Inc. joint venture.
